Literally meaning “the pond or lake of the Devi”, Devikulam is a small hill station with many tea plantations, in the state of Kerala, on the way Munnar-Kumily (Thekkady) Highway. Located an altitude of 1800 m above sea level, 16 km away from Munnar, 50 km away is the famous Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. This idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air is a rare experience. The Sita Devi Lake with its sparkling crystal clear waters and picturesque surroundings is a good picnic spot.
